Friday – The risk-taker
Fridays are happy days, don’t you think? Not just because we are one step away from the weekend, but also because it’s the only day of the week where we can choose between a casual outfit or an extravagant one. In my case…
…the second applied. After-work, drinks are planned so why not be already prepared? This is also the perfect excuse to put a more daring ensemble together. Don’t you love it when a colleague or even a random lady compliments you on your look? Honestly, I believe that we should really start complimenting each other a bit more often, don’t you think? And it super easy… please repeat after me Woow!!! I love this outfit! or I wish I had those shoes! or Great Look!
Well in my mind this is how this look comes together. Stylish and definitively not mainstream, daring yet held back. Now in all fairness, each one of us has a different sense of style and perception on what is extravagant, mainstream or not, so this is my interpretation of it.
The main focus of Today’s look is, of course, the violet-purple Tybalt lace skirt from TOPSHOP Unique. Here I don’t just play with a daring color but also with an amazing texture and relief. To bring the tone down and make it more wearable during the daytime, I combined it with a dark green Feldon tie-neck wool and cashmere blend jumper also from TOPSHOP Unique. To keep the main focus on the skirt, I wore my classic black Dolce & Gabbana pumps with black tights. Finally, I through on my beautiful LV printed scarf and Voilà!!! this is the final look. PS:I couldn’t resist the yellow clutch from ZARA ; ) I know!
For my makeup look, I chose my Modern Renaissance palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills and created this soft look that I absolutely adored. Let me know if you would like to see a mini tutorial on it?
Well, that’s it for today and with this look this weeks series is complete. This was a lot of fun for me to put together. I would love to hear your comments and thoughts about the looks. Which one of the five looks did you like the most and which one was your least favourite one?
Till next time!
