As I purchased those items two days before my trip to Thailand, I had to take them with me in order to give them a good try out and write this post for you from beautiful Phuket. So let’s dive right into it.
The Chocolate Eye Palette
In this palette, you are getting 4 eyeshadows from cream to cocoa nuances in matte and metallic finishes. Included are also 3 dark toned Intense Pigment Liners, that one can use wet or dry as eyeliners.
The products come in a beautiful leather and metallic casing that looks sleek and feels very luxurious. A high-quality mirror is also included however without a brush. The palette retails for 89.- CHF and is currently still available on the Bobbi Brown website.
I love this palette and I was really happy I took it with me. The shadows have a beautiful creamy texture, are easy to blend and with hardly any fallout. This is truly as expected Bobbi Brown quality. Woodrose (second from top) is my current favourite transition eyeshadow and I particularly enjoyed having the three liner options, especially for traveling. It might not look like it but I managed to create several looks with just this one palette during my two weeks vacation, which makes it a great compact, yet high-quality palette to travel with.
The Pink Truffle Brightening Blush
OK!, not to exaggerate but this is my current favorite blush together with the Marc Jacobs Lush & Libido Air Blush (but this is a totally different review). I find the Pink Truffle to be a very close alternative to the Flesh & Fantasy Air Blush also from Marc Jacobs.
This is a great blush that wears beautifully throughout the whole day and doesn’t wear off. You can mix the colors together or use them separately as I did for highlighting or as eyeshadows.
This blush is great for us ladies with light skin but even if you are more tanned you can use this as a first base blusher and then top it off with a darker one, or as a highlighter. The gradient effect is lovely!
The blush comes in a gold packaging with a mirror and a magnetic lock. Soooo Posh! The Pink Truffle retails for 72.- CHF (8 g) and is also available on the Bobbi Brown website.
Now back in cold Zürich, I’ve come to the conclusion that this was a great purchase and I do believe that it was worth the money spend. So two thumbs up from Beautyowls for these two amazing products, from this season’s Bobbi Brown Limited Edition Holliday collection that lasted through heat, sweat and humidity impeccable.
Till next time…
xoxo from Zürich,
