As most of you know, mornings are somewhat stressful. Especially if you have a pre-schooler and a toddler screaming for your full attention… I therefore totally gave up on the idea of applying gel eyeliner in the mornings because it usually ends up looking like a hot mess.
The more time you have and the more relaxed you are, the better your makeup will end up looking. In my case forget it…
However, I do feel that a winged eyeliner does round up a makeup look… at least most of the times! So this is my answer to an alternative and most forgiving morning version of an eye look with a sharp wing.
For this look, I used my Urban Decay eye shadow palette in collaboration with Gwen Stefani and a YSL single eyeshadow in a neutral base color.
And this is how you can achieve this look!
Step 1: Prep your eyes with an eyeshadow primer and wait till it’s dry.
Step 2: Apply a neutral eyeshadow from eyelids to brow bone with a flat eye shadow brush. Mine is from YSL.
Step 3: Apply ANAHEIM or any taupe shadow you might have in the crease with a crease brush.
Step 4: Dot 1987 or any gold eye shadow you have with your finger at the center of your eyelid.
Step 5: With BATHWATER highlight your brow bone by using a flat brush or your finger.
Step 6: Use shade BLONDE to highlight your inner corners with your finger
Step 7: With an angled brush pick up PUNK, tip off the access and create a sharp wing. (For a more intense wing, wet your brush with a setting spray.)
And here we have the final result. Apply two coats of mascara and you are done.
I hope you liked today’s post. As always I would be happy to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Do you have any quick eye looks? If yes, please let me know.
Till next time
xoxo from Zürich,
Did you know? You should never blow on your brushes to get the exes product off due to bacteria build-up instead tap it off.
