One of my favorite go-to looks lately, is a simple smudged-out eye with a popping red lip. I have been a real fan, watching Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries recently and I got inspired by all the makeup looks from the 20’s.
This look is effortless, fast and beautiful! It takes me 10 minutes to do in the morning, which I much appreciate! What I also like, is that it has this effortless-looking – didn’t try at all but still look pulled together – kind of a vibe and you only need one eyeshadow to do it.
1) After having my base done, I apply a thin layer of concealer on my lid to color correct. 2) I then go in with a light warm-brown shadow to define my crease. To use less product and be quick in the morning, I even use my currently favorite bronzer from Victoria Beckham and Estée Lauder in Saffron Sun (12g/ 0.42oz. for €58.42). I love the monochromatic effect it gives me! 3) I then take the Eye Kajal in Black Saffron/Vanille (€35.25) also from the Victoria Beckham and Estée Lauder collection and draw a thin line as close as possible to the upper outer corner, as well as, on the lower outer corner of my eye. 4) With a small pencil-shaped crease brush, like the one from Makeup Geek I start smudging the eyeliner first towards the inner part of my eye and then on the bottom of my lash line.
I try to stay as close as possible on the lash line! 5) With the remaining product on my pencil brush, I pull the eyeliner with small upwards strokes from the outer corner of my eye towards the tip of my eyebrow (this helps to create a cat-eyed look). 6) To finish the look, I put Vanille in the waterline to open up my eyes even more and look more rested. Add a few coats of Mascara and pair this look with a red lipstick of your choice and voila! You are ready to concur the world… and here is the finished look!
I love this eye pencil, it’s creamy, it glides on like butter, and it is very pigmented, it gives you some time to work with before it dries down completely but its best to work one eye at the time and then set the eyeliner with a dark shadow in order to avoid fallout.
Let me know what your thoughts are? Did you like this look and have you tried this Kajal pencil? I would love to hear your thoughts!
Till next time,
xoxo from Zurich,
